“The person has not reported to work since being tested,” the company said. “Our main concern has been, and will continue to be, the well-being of our employees. As of today, Seaboard Triumph Foods has no other confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the workplace.”

A Seaboard Foods employee at the company’s pork processing plant in Guymon, Okla., tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The company said employees with a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be supported through COVID-19 paid leave and health benefits programs, which includes two weeks of normal wages.

To stop the spread of the disease, STF has taken preventive steps that are similar the measures established at the Seaboard Foods pork plant in Guymon. In addition to social distancing and the use of face coverings, the company pre-screens employees using temperature checks prior to entering the plant. The company also started routinely using antiviral fog in employee common areas and offices.
