WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF. – Dole Food Company is giving Americans a silver lining during these uncertain and unsettling times in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with its latest campaign. 

From April 8-15 Dole is asking Americans to share the good things they have experienced while sheltering in place. The company’s Silver Lining Selfie campaign asks participants to write the answer to the question, “What is the silver lining of having to stay home?” on a banana, hold it as a smile and share a selfie with the hashtag #SilverLiningSelfies.  

The campaign coincides with National Banana Day April 15. Dole is asking fans to visit the company’s Instagram page to participate in the Silver Lining Selfies. 

To lift customer spirits, the company also launched an At-Home Resource Page on its website complete with nutrition tips, healthy and kid-friendly recipes, free printables, at-home games and activity ideas and research-backed suggestions from Dole’s health and communications manager Melanie Marcus.
