This spring Applegate is bringing a new product line to retail shelves. Well Carved is a line designed for consumers conscious about the nutritional, ethical and environmental traits of their meat. 

The Well Carved line includes burgers and meatballs made with a combination of meat and whole organic vegetables, legumes and grains. 

"People love meat, and they aren't going to simply stop eating it, nor should they have to, regardless of how many highly processed soy or pea-based burgers you put on the market," says John Ghingo, president of Applegate. "Well Carved offers an easy way for consumers to enjoy the real, clean meat they crave while also reducing overall consumption. The Well Carved line shows that better meat is possible." 

Well Carved burgers will come in a choice of organic meat and veggie combo, beef or turkey, and the meatballs will be available in an organic meat and veggie combo of Asian-style pork or Mediterranean style turkey. 

Applegate is also introducing Naturals Slow Cook Ham, made with zero sugar and no artificial ingredients, and Naturals Chorizo Charcuterie Plate, a grab-and-go snack with uncured chorizo salami, cheddar cheese and milk chocolate covered grain-free pretzels. 

The new products will be available in April.
