Plant-based dairy brand Miyoko’s Creamery is introducing cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese and a spreadable oak milk butter to its lineup this spring.

The cheddar and pepper jack cheeses are the first in a new line of everyday cheeses made to taste, melt and function like their dairy counterparts. The cheese line is also Miyoko’s first nut-free vegan cheese option, made with cultured legumes and oats.

"We're at a pivotal moment in the plant-based movement, where we need to start appealing more to flexitarians by creating products that give them the taste satisfaction of the dairy cheeses they are used to," says Miyoko Schinner, founder and CEO.

The cheddar and pepper jack cheeses launch in March, and will be available in 1-ounce slices, shredded packages and 8-ounce blocks.

In April, Miyoko will introduce two styles of a spreadable oat milk butter designed to be used like its dairy-butter counterparts. The Hint of Salt flavor will be available in a 12-ounce tub and the Garlic Parm will come in a 7-ounce tub.

The new products can be previewed at Natural Products Expo West March 3-7 in Booth 5092.
