ACE Bakery announced a May 29 tasting event to introduce Minnesota foodies to some of its most popular breads, which are now available in Cub Foods and Jerry's Foods stores throughout the Twin Cities. Members of the media, local foodies and Canada aficionados are invited to attend.

The event, slated from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at Minneapolis’ Canadian Consulate will feature tastes of Ace Bakery’s breads and a variety of Canadian beverages that are excellent pairings to the breads being served.

The event is a chance for tastemakers, media and Canada aficionados to sample and taste freshly made ACE Bakery breads that are now available in the local market.

This is a significant U.S. launch for ACE and offers local shoppers wholesome and flavorful bread choices that were previously unavailable. Known for working with only the simplest ingredients, and for its commitment to uncompromising quality, ACE stays true to time-honored traditions, with breads made by hand and baked in stone deck ovens, resulting in bread that has a deeper flavor and a moist texture, with a light interior and a crisp crust.

“The Twin Cities market is known for its preference for quality food and its sophisticated taste,” said Lee Andrews, President of ACE Bakery. “This event allows us to showcase our products that are made simply and with the utmost in care and craftsmanship.”

An iconic brand in its native Canada, ACE Bakery brings not only its well-known and sought-after breads to the Twin Cities, but also its commitment to involvement in the communities that it serves. This is an essential part of ACE’s philosophy with the company donating a percentage of its net profits to charitable organizations where ACE breads are sold.

“Our company and our products feel at home in Minnesota,” said Andrews. “We can’t wait to introduce our breads to food experts and trend makers who shape Minnesota’s food culture.”
