Tippin’s Gourmet Pies announced May 30 that Jim Antrup will join the company as vice president of sales and marketing. Antrup will be responsible for managing all sales and marketing functions for Tippin’s and will report directly to Tippin’s president.

“We are delighted to have someone with Jim’s background joining our team,” said Mark Boyer, president of Tippin’s. “Jim’s years of experience in the bakery industry and his disciplined approach to strategic selling provide Tippin’s with a wonderful opportunity to grow our business both geographically and into other channels.”

This summer Tippin’s will move its wholesale pie bakery into a new production facility in Kansas City, Kansas. The expansion will increase Tippin’s production capacity and position the company for continued growth. Tippin’s will continue to produce a wide variety of fruit and cream pies, as well as favorite holiday pies, for resale in premium grocery retailers and foodservice operators across the United States.

“We have been investing in our manufacturing infrastructure and are complementing that investment on the people side,” Boyer said. “I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside Jim over the past 12 years in varying roles and landing a talent like Jim at Tippin’s will help us move our business forward to meet our goals.”

Antrup is currently meeting with Tippin’s customers and will be attending the IDDBA conference June 2-4 in Orlando, Florida.

“I am very excited to join a family business like Tippin’s, especially with the history of this brand and the premium products they deliver to the market,” Antrup said. “I am also very encouraged with the investment being made in the new bakery and the availability that grants us to expand our customer base.”
