The National Restaurant Association will kick off its 100th anniversary show with a 1,000-pound cheesecake from Eli’s Cheesecake.

The cake will be cut at 2:30 p.m. May 18 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, the site of the show. Doing the cake-cutting honors will be Dawn Sweeney, the NRA’s president and CEO, and Ted Balestreri, the 100th anniversary chairman.

More than 65,000 foodservice professionals are expected to attend the show.
