NEW YORK — Linda Findley Kozlowski has been named president and chief executive officer of Blue Apron Holdings, Inc. She succeeds Brad Dickerson, who is resigning from the company to pursue new opportunities. Mr. Dickerson joined the meal kit company as chief financial officer in 2016 and was elevated to the role of president and c.e.o. the following year. He will serve as an adviser for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.

Ms. Kozlowski most recently was chief operating officer of online marketplace Etsy, Inc. She has 25 years of experience across product sales, marketing, business development and operations. Before Etsy, she held leadership roles at Evernote Corp. and Alibaba.com.

“We are incredibly excited to have an executive of Linda’s caliber as Blue Apron’s next c.e.o.,” said Matt Salzberg, chairman of Blue Apron’s board of directors. “Linda’s exceptional leadership and marketing expertise, as well as her understanding of Blue Apron customers as a longtime customer herself, will help her advance the company toward sustainable, profitable growth.”

Ilia Papas, co-founder and chief technology of Blue Apron, also will depart the company to pursue other opportunities. The company said it has a transition plan in place.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Brad for his leadership, and for the progress the team has achieved in the past year, including in driving operational optimization, realizing meaningful margin expansion, and evolving the company’s product portfolio and channel strategy,” Mr. Salzberg said. “I’d also like to thank my co-founder Ilia for all of his contributions over the past seven years, particularly in developing Blue Apron’s technology infrastructure and capabilities as our chief technology officer. We wish both Brad and Ilia the best with their future pursuits.”
