WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Jason Levine has been named chief marketing officer at Sabra Dipping Company, L.L.C, a joint venture between PepsiCo, Inc. and the Strauss Group. In this role, Mr. Levine will oversee global marketing and communications. He will be tasked with driving Sabra’s growth strategy “by introducing consumers to new ways of using hummus and developing new offerings in the high growth plant-based food category,” Sabra said.

Mr. Levine joins Sabra from Mondelez International, Inc., where he was most recently chief marketing officer for the company’s North America operations. During his nearly eight years with Mondelez, he was also vice-president of marketing for North America biscuits, vice-president for global category teams, vice-president of global gum and candy, and vice-president of brand equity for global gum and candy.

Before joining Mondelez, Mr. Levine spent 11 years with Kraft Foods Group in various marketing roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as senior director of marketing for U.S. salted snacks. He also led marketing for Kraft’s E.U. coffee and biscuits businesses and the company’s U.S. biscuits business.

“Jason is a recognized innovative marketer who has contemporized beloved classic brands, built dynamic new equities and applied successful models to new markets and categories,” said Tomer Harpaz, chief executive officer of Sabra. “He is a progressive leader who has elevated the marketing function into a digital-driven, consumer-centric growth powerhouse. Jason joins us at a fantastic time as consumers embrace hummus as a delicious and versatile plant-based food for every day. We’ve put in place a team of leaders ready to challenge conventions and inspire consumers to choose delicious, flavorful foods they feel great about enjoying.”

Mr. Levine will be based at Sabra’s headquarters in White Plains, N.Y., and oversee marketing for both Sabra and Obela, another joint venture between PepsiCo and the Strauss Group that sells dips and spreads outside of the United States and Canada.
