German discount grocer Lidl is set to open its first Atlanta-area locations. The company announced on Wednesday that it will open three locations in the Atlanta metro over the next month — a store in Powder Springs on Jan. 16, one in Snellville on Jan. 30 and one in Mableton on Feb. 13.

Lidl once aimed to open 100 U.S. locations by the June of 2018, but said last January that it was scaling back its approach. It's initial plans called for at least 50 locations in Georgia. The state's first Lidl opened in Augusta in September of 2017, but the Atlanta locations will be the first to open since.
