North Carolina retailer Ingles Markets enjoyed record sales and income in Fiscal 2018.

Sales at Asheville-based Ingles rose from $4 billion to $4.1 billion in 2018, and net income increased from $53.9 million to $97.4 million.

For the fourth quarter of the year, sales fell from $1.09 billion to $1.06 billion and net income fell from $19.4 million to $18.4 million. The fourth quarter in 2018 had one less week of operations than the same week in 2017.
