A noodle product made from pollock and produced by Trident Seafoods won first place in the retail category at the 26th Annual Alaska Symphony of Seafood.

Protein Noodles, as the refrigerated product is called, also won the Seattle People’s Choice Award and is slated to be in Costco stores early next year, according to a story in the Alaska Journal of Commerce.

The noodles are made from pollock surimi and are  a high-protein, gluten-free alternative to traditional pastas, according to the story.

Trident also won first place in the Beyond the Plate category for its Alaska Natural Pet pollock oil, an omega-3 enriched additive for dog foods.
