Construction has started for Hy-Vee, Inc. in Oakdale and New Hope, Minnesota. The development marks the beginning of Hy-Vee’s planned multiyear expansion into the Twin Cities market. Each store will be approximately 90,000 square feet, provide a $14-16 million economic investment and create as many as 550 local jobs. The stores are tentatively scheduled to open in fall 2015.

While new to the Twin Cities, Hy-Vee has had stores in Minnesota since 1969. Hy-Vee currently operates 17 stores statewide, employing more than 5,000 Minnesota residents.
