Corbion has appointed three strategic innovation directors: Kathy Sargent for the bakery business, Willy van Arkel for sweet and savory, and Saurabh Kumar for meat and poultry.

The directors will help maintain the link between business and innovation. They frequently will come together to explore how research and development initiatives affect multiple industries.

“It’s our job to act as the bridge between the business and R.&D.,” Ms. Sargent said. “To do that well, it’s important for us to understand the science and technical side as well as the strategies driving our respective businesses.”
