Barry Callebaut has wrapped up a number of expansion projects in three of it North American facilities. The projects — in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec; Chatham, Ontario; and St. Albans, Vermont — total nearly $30 million, which the company says is in line with previously announced plans.

Investments at the St. Hyacinthe facility include an additional chocolate line as well as enhanced capabilities for the production of dairy-free chocolates. The company added more liquid storage capacity to expand variety at its Chatham factory and expanded the building footprint and enhances capabilities for making colored and flavored compounds at the St. Albans location.

“We continue to invest in our product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities. The completion of these investments demonstrates our commitment to a high level of service and product availability for our expanding customer base”, says Peter Boone, CEO and president of the Americas region for Callebaut.
