Hy-Vee has announced that it will open two more Wahlburgers restaurants — the company's second and third franchise locations — by the end of the month.

Its previously announced West Des Moines, Iowa, restaurant will open on Sept. 11. It's first Kansas location — in the Kansas City suburb of Olathe — will open on Sept. 25.

Hy-Vee announced last year that it was partnering with the Wahlburgers franchise — created by brothers Paul, Mark and Donnie Wahlburg — and opened is first location in May at the Mall of America. It plans to build, own and operate 26 Wahlburgers restaurants.

“Hy-Vee is excited to open our third Wahlburgers restaurant and offer a unique dining experience to the Kansas City metro area,” says Nate Stewart, executive vice president of perishables for Hy-Vee. “Families will have the opportunity to eat delicious food in a fun atmosphere when they visit Wahlburgers.”

Details regarding special evens surround the Olathe opening will be released in the coming weeks. 

The West Des Moines location is a 7.100-square foot building near Jordan Creek Mall and other shopping and attractions.
