A public health alert has been issued over salads and wraps that could be contaminated with cyclospora.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued the alert for beef, pork and poultry salad and wrap products distributed by Indianapolis-based Caito Foods LLC.

The problem was discovered when Caito learned from its lettuce supplier, Fresh Express, that chopped romaine used in the salads and wraps was being recalled. Product was distributed July 15-18 with best-by dates of July 18-23.

The products were sold at Kroger, Trader Joe’s and Walgreens stores.
