Lipari Foods LLC has issued a voluntary recall of its Premo Brand and Fresh Grab turkey and swiss submarine sandwiches over listeria fears.

The sandwiches, produced and packaged by Lipari’s sister company, JLM, were produced on July 17 and distributed to foodservice and retail stores throughout Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia beginning on July 19.

The recall was issued following routine environmental monitoring and product testing initiated by JLM, which returned positive test results for potential contamination of listeria. Lipari and JLM are working with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and the FDA on an investigation of the potential contamination.

No illnesses had been reported as of July 28.
