Turkey specialist Jennie-O’s latest promotion aims to bring fathers and their children closer together in the kitchen.
The father-child recipe contest from Jennie-O, a division of Hormel Foods, asks dads and their kids to make a favorite recipe using any Jennie-O products and post it on the company’s Facebook page by July 26.
The winning team will receive an XL Big Green Egg grill, grilling tools and a year’s supply of Jennie-O turkey products.
One aim of the contest is to show men that turkey is a healthful alternative to other, more traditional types of meat. “Jennie-O invites Americans to switch to turkey,” according to the company. “There’s no end to the possibilities for putting a healthful twist on recipes.”
