A new e-commerce hub highlights a $22 million package of investments in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, by grocery retailer Giant.
The 38,000-square-foot hub will serve as a grocery delivery center that will help Giant and its online grocery partner, Peapod, serve up to 40 percent more shoppers, according to a story on fox43.com.
The facility, the fifth such hub opened by Giant and Peapod in Pennsylvania, will offer curbside pickup.
In addition to the hub, the investment in Lancaster County includes four store remodels, a new fuel station and lower priced items, according to the story. Deli is among the departments expected to see price cuts.
