CHICAGO — Food equipment leader Henny Penny Corp. spotlighted its new Flexfusion Team Combi oven and Flexfusion Smoker at the 2018 National Restaurant Association Show.

The new combi oven combines all of the benefits of Eaton, Ohio-based Henny Penny’s Platinum series ovens in one integrated platform, Jason Moles, senior brand manager, said at the show.

It takes up less space than conventional stacked or side-by-side units, features an eye-level touchscreen with step-by-step cooking instructions and, with hands-free WaveClean technology, is easy to clean, Moles said.

The Flexfusion smoker has all the capacity and programming capabilities of Henny Penny’s combi ovens and can smoke a wide variety of foods, Moles said. An external smoke box allows food to be smoked at lower temperatures and wood chips and pellets can be used for customized recipes.

Also at the NRA show, Henny Penny highlighted its low oil-volume F5 fryer, which features a touch-and-swipe screen with icon- and picture-based visuals for easy training and use. The fryer also uses 40 percent less oil than a standard 50-pound fryer.
