Indian food specialist Café Spice has won Sofi awards for two of its ready-to-eat items.

New Windsor, New York-based Café Spice’s Potato Samosas won gold in the Savory Appetizer, Soup and Stew category, and its Vegetable Bhajias won gold in the Gluten-Free category.

The Sofis are awarded annually by the New York-based Specialty Food Association.

Potato Samosas feature potatoes, peas and freshly ground spices, and Vegetable Bhajias feature chickpea flour, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, onions and freshly ground spices. Both are served with Café Spice’s tamarind and green chili chutneys.

By winning gold awards, both products are in the running to be named Product of the Year at the association’s annual Summer Fancy Food Show in New York June 30-July 2.
