Walmart is taking another run at small format stores.

Bentonville, Arkansas-based Walmart’s newest store in Shenzhen, China, stocks roughly 8,000 items and is heavy on technology, according to a story on reuters.com.

Walmart’s experiment with small stores in the U.S., Walmart Express, ended in 2016, according to the story. Those stores were about 12,000 to 15,000 square feet, compared to 105,000 square feet for a conventional Walmart supermarket.

Walmart did not say how big the new concept store in China is, according to the story.

Ninety percent of the items stocked in the new store are available online. Items can be delivered within a 1.2 mile radius in as little as 29 minutes. Customers can also pay with their smartphones using a program on Tencent Holding Ltd.’s WeChat messaging service.
