Specialty cheesemaker Vermont Creamery is adding three new fresh goat cheeses to its lineup.
The 4 oz chèvre logs, available in retail deli cases on April 1, come in three flavors: Clover Blossom Honey, Wild Blueberry Lemon & Thyme and Smoky Pepper Jelly.
Clover Blossom Honey features pure, liquid honey from North Dakota. Blueberry Lemon & Thyme is made with dried wild blueberries and candied lemon peel and is a perfect dessert cheese, according to the company. Smoky Pepper Jelly is hand-rolled in a rich dry rub that features poblano peppers and hickory smoke flavors.
The three new logs bring to eight the number in Vermont Creamery’s lineup. The others are Classic, Herb de Provence, Cranberry, Orange & Cinnamon and Three Peppercorn.
“In the 34 years since we made our first fresh chèvre, Vermont Creamery has grown while staying true to our core values,” says Adeline Druart, president of Vermont Creamery. “As we expand our offerings, high-quality, unique ingredients remain a focus of our innovation efforts. The search for the newest flavor selections was rigorous, and the result is an elevated collection of fresh goat cheese that’s made in Vermont.”
