Hummus specialist Blue Moose of Boulder will soon be shipping organic versions of many of its popular products.
Boulder, Colorado-based Blue Moose has received United States Department of Agriculture Organic certification and plans to begin shipping six organic hummuses in March. Blue Moose hummus is made using cold pressure, or HPP, and contains no preservatives.
"Receiving USDA Organic certification is a very proud moment for our company," says Tenley Satre, Blue Moose’s president. "We've always prided ourselves on using high-quality, all-natural ingredients in our hummus and this certification reaffirms our dedication to that. We are on a mission to make snacking better and believe that we are producing the highest-quality, best-tasting hummus you can buy.”
The six varieties now certified organic include Original, Roasted Red Pepper, Roasted Garlic, Green Chile, Lime & Black Bean and Lemon Turmeric.
Also new at Blue Moose, for the first time ever the company will exhibit at the Natural Products Expo West, slated for March 9-11 in Anaheim, California.
