SAN FRANCISCO — Creminelli Fine Meats has added a new grab ‘n go item to its valued-added line of prosciutto products.

Salt Lake City-based Creminelli showcased its new 2 oz Prosciutto, Aged Mozzarella and Grissini packs at the Specialty Food Association’s Winter Fancy Food Show Jan. 21-23. Grissini are traditional Italian breadsticks. The company has previously done prosciutto-and-cheese packs, but this is the first product with a carb, says Rob Smith, vice president of sales.

“It’s where the U.S. consumer is going — a protein snack on the go” that has all the elements in one pack, Smith says. The pack was expected to begin shipping “in a few weeks,” Smith said at the show.

Also at Winter Fancy Food, Creminelli unveiled its three latest seasonal flavored uncured salamis: Cherry Bitters, Luau and Stout. The products, which typically ship for about 60 days, come in 5.5 oz packs.
