Shoppers at a Dorothy Lane Market grocery store in Centerville, Ohio, are having a social media experience like none other.
Dayton, Ohio-based Dorothy Lane is partnering with a retail interior décor specialist on a series of digital signs that broadcasts images of the grocer’s Instagram feed on screens visible from the Centerville store’s checkout lines.
It’s the first grocery store application for Fairfield, Ohio-based CIP Retail’s SNS Wall, a series of ten 20 in x 20 in digital screens placed in a mosaic pattern at the front of the store. SNS Wall updates Dorothy Lane’s Instagram content in real time.
“In addition to spotlighting our Instagram feed, we’re also experimenting with how to incorporate specific hashtags during special promotions, including integrating some user-generated content from DLM customers, as they’re incredibly savvy in how they showcase food from our stores on Instagram,” Patrick Arnold, Dorothy Lane’s vice president of IT and marketing.
