A fine foods specialist is recalling premium deli meat products over salmonella fears.

Waterloo, Canada-based Piller’s Fine Foods issued the recall of about 1,076 pounds of ready-to-eat salami and prosciutto products that may be contaminated with salmonella, according to the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recalled products include:

  • Vacuum-sealed random weight plastic packages of Black Kassel Piller’s Dry Aged Speck Smoked Prosciutto. Product was produced on Sept. 22 and has a best by date of May 12, 2018.
  • Vacuum-sealed random weight plastic packages of Black Kassel Piller’s Dry Aged D’Amour Salami. Product was produced on Oct. 12 and has a best by date of May 12, 2018.

The recall follows a test by FSIS which found salmonella in a ready-to-eat salami product. As of Dec. 16, no adverse reactions related to the affected products had been reported.

The products were produced in Canada and shipped to distribution centers in California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey and New York.
