CHICAGO — Minneapolis-based Rise Baking Co. is jumping on the edible cookie dough bandwagon.

Rise’s single-serving, grab ‘n go dough product could be on c-store shelves by the winter holidays. The 3.5 oz pack will come in four flavors and be available for stores’ private label programs, Courtney Wilman, Rise’s marketing manager, said at the Private Label Manufacturers Association show in Chicago.

Wilman cited the rise of cookie dough as a treat option at places like New York-based D?, which provides a variety of doughs and toppings customers can choose from.

Rise has plans to roll out a 12 oz version of the product for grocery retailers in the near future, Wilman says.
