Bakery ingredients leader Lawrence Foods Inc. has opened a second distribution center in the Chicago area.

The new facility will help Elk Grove Village, Illinois-based Lawrence Foods support its growing customer base, says Marc Lawrence, the company’s president. “It is our intention to continue our reinvestments in the business as a means of supporting the company’s continuing efforts to expand the value of our collaboration with our business partners.”

Lawrence Foods’ customers range from instore grocery bakeries to industrial manufacturers in the consumer packaged goods industry. The company makes fruit fillings and toppings, icings and glazes, confectionery ingredients such as fondant and rolled fondant, dips and spreads and dry mixes.
