Two new senior food and beverage leaders are joining Target Corp. to accelerate the company's food and beverage strategy, "aimed at offering a differentiated experience, with an emphasis on fresh produce, convenient eating and a curated assortment of affordable and accessible owned and national brands,” Target said.

Mark Kenny has been named vice-president divisional, meat and fresh prepared food for Target. In this role, he will oversee the meat, seafood, deli, bakery and prepared food categories. Mr. Kenny joins Target from Wal-Mart Inc., where he was most recently the senior director of private brands, deli and bakery.

Liz Nordlie will join Target as vice-president, product design and development for food and beverage. In her new role, Ms. Nordlie will oversee the brand direction and product vision for owned brand food and beverage categories. Ms. Nordlie joins Target from General Mills, Inc., where she spent 20 years in general management roles. She was most recently the president of General Mills’ baking division.
