Kerry announced a new partnership with Boston-based biotech company Ginkgo Bioworks. Ginkgo will equip Kerry to use its biotechnology software platform to produce specialty enzymes for the food industry.

Ginkgo’s platform uses automated processes and custom software to design and build microbial strains that can produce cultured ingredients and enzymes during the fermentation process. This partnership combines Ginkgo’s technology with Kerry’s ingredient expertise.
