St. Louis-based retailer Dierbergs Markets is entering the online delivery business.

Dierbergs, which operates 25 stores, is partnering with online grocery marketplace Shipt on deliveries within the St. Louis metro area, according to a story in the St. Louis Business Journal. Deliveries are set to begin Sept. 14.

Initially, 800,000 St. Louis area households will have access to the service, according to the story. To participate, customers must join Shipt. Normally a membership costs $99 per year, but prior to the launch of its Dierbergs service, memberships will be $49. Members also will receive $25 off their first order. Deliveries are free on orders of more than $35.

In February, another St. Louis-based grocery chain, Schnucks, launched its online delivery service through a partnership with Instacart.
