Casual Italian restaurant chain Fazoli’s is taking its pasta products on the road with the announcement it has partnered with TravelCenters of America LLC to open four locations over the next year. As part of the deal, Lexington, KY-based Fazoli’s has agreed to open four restaurants inside TA and Petro Stopping Centers in Connecticut, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas.

“Our mission at Fazoli’s is to serve America premium quality Italian food, fast, fresh and friendly,” said Carl Howard, president and chief executive officer of Fazoli’s. “I can’t think of a better opportunity to do this than on America’s highways with a company like TravelCenters, which is known for meeting the needs of today’s travelers.”

The first of the four locations will open this summer in Milldale, CT, followed by two more opening at TA and Petro locations in Oklahoma City and San Antonio this fall. The fourth location will open in early 2018 in Monroe, MI, the company said.

“At TravelCenters, we focus on providing our customers with the variety they crave for while traveling the interstate,” said John Ponczoch, senior vice-president of TA and the leader of the TA Restaurant Group. “Fazoli’s provides us with a quality Italian cuisine offer that both interstate travelers and local residents will find themselves coming back for.”

With nearly 220 restaurants, Fazoli’s is the United States’ largest Italian fast casual brand serving freshly prepared entrees, sub sandwiches, salads and pizza.

TravelCenters of America LLC, headquartered in Westlake, OH, conducts business in 43 states and Canada, principally under the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands and the Minit Mart convenience store brand.
