Hobart Food Prep Equipment’s FP300i and FP400i continuous-feed floor model food processors are ideal for processing fruits in grocery store commissary kitchens, said Carolyn Bilger, Hobart’s marketing director.
The FP300i can process 88 pounds of product per minute and the FP400i has a capacity of 132 pounds per minute. When paired with a slicing cutting tool, they can slice apples, citrus fruit and bananas, for example, or operators can pair a slicing blade with dicing grid for dicing fruit.
The machines are both maximum heavy-duty machines intended for high-volume processing, Bilger said. They’re also known for their durability and ease of operation, and they can be customized with various feed and cylinder options, according to application.
“As customers look for quick options to fit healthy foods into their busy lifestyles, the demand for processed fruit continues to rise in commissaries and grocery stores,” Bilger said. “The ability to select grab-and-go fruits can make packing healthy lunches for the entire family easier.”
