Earth Fare, an Asheville, NC-based chain of health and wellness supermarkets, is inviting shoppers to bring in their "dirty" food.

Through March 21st, Earth Fare customers can bring in products and replace them with what the company says is "cleaner and healthier" Earth Fare private brand foods at 25 percent off the purchase price.

"We believe that a key component to living a healthier, longer life is making the right food choices, and that means saying no to harmful ingredients that are, sadly, all too common on many grocery store shelves," said Earth Fare president and CEO Frank Scorpiniti. "We want all of our communities to enjoy on the cleanest, healthiest food available."

Earth Fare will also donate one dollar (up to $5,000) to local food banks for each time a customer participates in the food swap.
