Morey’s Wild Salmon has teamed up with Mike’s Hot Honey on a new product that taps into continuing huge demand for sweet heat.
Morey’s wild salmon is marinated in blackened seasonings and drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey to create Morey’s Wild Salmon with Mike’s Hot Honey.
Each package contains two individually wrapped 5-ounce fillets and two packets of Mike’s Hot Honey. It can be easily prepared in minutes using an oven, skillet, grill or air fryer, according to Morey’s.
“Hot honey has seen remarkable growth on U.S. menus, with Mike’s Hot Honey leading the way in the category,” said Ciera Womack, director of marketing, seafood, for the Consumer Brands division of Rich Products Corp., parent company of Morey’s. “Honey is one of the most popular seafood sauce flavors, which happens to pair perfectly with salmon’s savory notes. Hot honey has a prognosis of “very strong” growth over the next four years, according to Menucast, Datassential’s AI-based prediction engine. Hot honey appears on more than twice the number of restaurant menus than it did just four years ago, with the greatest market penetration in the Northeast and South followed by the Midwest and West.
