Convenience, health and value are driving strong growth for sandwich programs in in-store delis and throughout the grocery store.
New for retail sandwich specialist Raybern’s in 2025 is an Egg White & Chicken Breakfast Sandwich.
Launched in January, it’s a great option for busy consumers looking for a quick, convenient breakfast option that tastes great, said Lexi Levang, Raybern’s senior brand manager.
“It’s a perfect addition to our lineup of sandwiches,” Levang said, citing longtime Raybern’s favorites like Philly Cheesesteak, Roast Beef Cheddar Melt, Ham & Swiss, and Chicken Bacon Ranch.
Aside from the launch of the new breakfast sandwich, the focus on 2025 for Raybern’s will be expanding and improving its sales of those and other core products, which all got a brand refresh in 2024, she said.
Consumers continue to seek out convenient, heat-and-eat options, and Raybern’s is seeing increased interest in functional, protein-rich sandwiches, Levang said.
The company is staying ahead of those trends by offering sandwiches that are not only quick to heat but also packed with high-quality ingredients.
The new Egg White & Chicken Breakfast Sandwich, for instance, offers 20 grams and just 250 calories per serving.
“It’s a great fit for the growing demand for on-the-go meals,” Levang said. “All our sandwiches are crafted with premium ingredients, and our signature bakery-soft bread is designed to give customers a deli-quality experience right from the microwave.”
People want convenient meals that don’t require much prep but still deliver a satisfying experience, she added. Raybern’s sandwiches for grocery are a perfect fit, offering “a heat-and-eat solution with a fresh, deli-inspired experience.”
The response to Raybern’s 2024 rebrand, meanwhile, continues to be overwhelmingly positive, Levang said.
“Our consumers have praised the quality and taste of our sandwiches, particularly our iconic Philly Cheesesteak and our other core offerings like the Chicken Bacon Ranch and Barbecue Pulled Pork.”
That’s meant increased distribution, which has helped get Raybern’s sandwiches into more homes. The company’s bakery-soft bread is a differentiator in the heat-and-eat market, she added.
