SALINAS, CALIF. — Naturipe Farms has had an exceptionally high supply of organic blueberries this December 2024-February 2025 winter season.
According to the company, the berry industry usually experiences a lull in organic blueberry supplies during the winter. This year, Naturipe’s growers in Peru and Chile have provided peak volumes of organic blueberries.
Naturipe said the supply from those countries fills a market gap and allows retailers to heavily promote organic blueberries while maintaining competitive pricing.
“We’re thrilled to see such huge — and hugely delicious! — volumes coming from Peru and Chile,” said Brian Vertrees, director of business development at Naturipe Farms. “Growing in diverse regions throughout North and South America is a top priority for Naturipe Farms, as it enables us to provide consistently exceptional berries year-round. The quality and volumes of this season is going to be unlike any other, and we’re excited to bring great tasting berries to retailers and shoppers nationwide.”
According to Naturipe, its organic blueberries are grown on USDA certified organic farms. All products — including organic, conventional, premium, and value-added — are grown and packaged under Naturipe’s ‘Cultivate with Care’ mission to support the communities around Naturipe farms and facilities.
“Given this year’s deviation from typical seasonal blueberry volumes, retailers should heavily promote organic blueberries to customers, as they may otherwise not be searching for them at the store,” the company said. “Retailers can market the delicious recipes, health and nutrition benefits, and unmatched quality of Naturipe’s organic blueberries.”
