DecoPac is excited about the wider adoption if its Celebration IQ Online Cake Ordering Platform in ISBs, said John Gardner, vice president of global marketing.
With CelebrationIQ, consumers can send a photo from their phone directly to DecoPac’s PhotoCake decorating system.
“Major retailers have come on board to be a part of this experience, which truly personalizes cake ordering for the consumer while streamlining the administrative function for the decorator, allowing more time to do what they do best,” Gardner said.
Once that photo’s delivered via CelebrationIQ, PhotoCake can be used in a variety of ways to simplify decorating.
Long known for its ability to apply a personalized photo to cakes, PhotoCake also features hundreds of quick and easy cake designs that can be printed on edible media and applied to cakes.
In addition, Gardner said, it gives decorators design solutions geared to decorating a cake in under 10 minutes.
It’s technology designed to make the work of instore bakeries easier and more efficient.
“For ISB, cake decorating faces a significant challenge — the shortage of labor,” Gardner said. “Decorators are charged with doing multiple tasks while taking care of custom cake orders. We are providing decorators with solutions, by focusing on a combination of technology and decorating ease.”
DecoPac also helps ISBs by providing cake designers with access to top-selling licensed cake decorations including Bluey, Minecraft, and Wicked.
Retailers are definitely seeing the advantage of switching to labor-saving, efficiency-boosting solutions like those provided by DecoPac, Gardner said.
“The demand is growing and it’s coming from choice. The consumer has more options now to personalize a cake and they can express themselves in so many ways — from glitz and glam, to licensed characters, to individualized personalization.”
