We've known for a while now that Lidl, the German grocery chain in the process of diving into the US, has big plans for the Philadelphia market. That move is now spreading across the state line into New Jersey.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Lidl is currently planning locations in the New Jersey communities of Burlington, Hazlet, Lacey, Lawrence, Millville, Vineland, and Union Township, where a 34,094-square foot store with 183 parking spaces will be built on a site where a motorcycle dealership and parts company currently exist.

The New Jersey locations are part of nearly 150 Lidl stores planned to open on the East Coast by the end of 2017. In December, it was announced that Lidl had acquired two parcels covering nearly four acres for its first Philadelphia location.
