The surge in snacking has been front and center for Del Fresco Pure, said Sonia Klinger, marketing manager.
To meet the demand, the company added Sweetreats to its lineup.
"These vibrant, bite-sized peppers are perfect for quick, healthy snacks and add a burst of flavor to any dish," Klinger said. "Whether you're packing a lunch, looking for a nutritious snack, or enhancing your culinary creations, our snacking peppers offer a versatile and delicious option."
In addition to its snacking peppers, Del Fresco Pure also offers Sweet Rainbow Peppers to its retail customers.
Consumption of bell peppers goes up every year, Klinger said, driven by three factors: health consciousness, culinary trends and convenience/accessibility.
Expanded US acreage
In addition to the new Crinkle Sweets, Lipman’s lineup of peppers includes:
- Bell Peppers: Available in green, red, and yellow, these peppers are versatile for a variety of culinary applications, from fresh salads to cooked dishes.
- Mini Sweet Pepper: Convenient for snacking on the go and fresh, shareable recipes.
- Chile Peppers: Perfect for adding smokiness or spice to your favorite dishes, ideal for salsas, dips, and as a topping. A variety of items available, including jalapenos, poblanos, and serranos.
Lipman Family Farms’ pepper roster, Lipman said, “reflects our commitment to offering a range of high-quality peppers that cater to contemporary culinary trends and consumer preferences.”
Over the years, Lipman has expanded its pepper offerings by introducing innovative varieties that cater to consumer preferences for flavor and convenience, she added.
The company has increased its greenhouse and conventional pepper plantings to help ensure year-round production. And new acreage in Florida and across the East Coast is helping provide customers with domestically sourced product, Lipman said.
