SAN ANTONIO — NatureSweet’s newest innovation from its greenhouses is D’Vines Medley, a collection of red, orange, and yellow cherry on-the-vine tomatoes.
NatureSweet said the tomatoes can elevate a charcuterie board, meal or snack with their bright colors and perfect size.
“D’Vines Medley is a burst of flavor and color that delivers a homegrown premium experience that consumers love,” said Mary Pettis, NatureSweet brand manager. “It’s no wonder why cherry on-the-vine tomatoes are the fastest growing segment among consumers, their texture and superior flavor are hard to beat.”
The new varietal is an expansion of the D’Vines portfolio, and NatureSweet said the tomatoes are harvested and packaged directly on the vine in the company’s Arizona greenhouse facility.
The D’Vines Medley comes in a 12-ounce clamshell with a transparent lid that clearly displays the trio of colors. NatureSweet said the packaging is 100% recyclable.
The new product will debut at the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral Show Oct. 17 in Atlanta, and it will officially launch at retailers (including Aldi, Wakefern, Harris Teeter, Albertsons and Meijer) in early December, NatureSweet said.
