MILLEN, GA. — The Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) is encouraging its members to donate to Samaritan’s Purse in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

According to SEPC, Hurricane Helene was the strongest recorded storm in the Big Bend region of Florida and brought historic levels of rainfall and flooding in areas in the southern Appalachians. The storm also caused destruction throughout Georgia and North and South Carolina.

SEPC has asked its partners to keep the millions of people affected by the hurricane in their prayers and to consider making a contribution to the relief efforts.

SEPC said it will match donations to Samaritan’s Purse up to $25,000.
